You can consider adding the above command to your 'startup.m' file. This command will need to be run every time you start MATLAB for MATLAB to correctly use MinGW. Where 'folder' is the installation directory of MinGW. Run the following in the MATLAB Command Window: > setenv('MW_MINGW64_LOC',folder)
(B) To set MW_MINGW64 as a temporary environment variable using MATLAB:
Click "OK" to close the dialog boxes, then close the Control Panel dialog box. In the Variable value field, type the location of the MinGW-w64 compiler installation, for example, 'C:\TDM-GCC-64'. In the New System Variable dialog box, type MW_MINGW64_LOC in the Variable name field. Click Advanced system settings > Advanced tab. Choose System properties from the context menu. (A) To set MW_MINGW64 as a system environment variable on Windows 7/8/10: No special privileges are required to set the environment variable temporarily. Administrative privileges are required to set MW_MINGW64_LOC as a system environment variable. The MW_MINGW64_LOC environment variable can be (A) set for the entire system level or (B) set temporarily every time you open MATLAB.

We recommend to use Qt4 download from qt.io. Download Qt 4 and run the installer (default destination is C:/Qt). Verify you have installed MinGW-w64 version 4.9.2 before following these steps. Download the MinGW toolchain (from the MinGW-w64 project) which is already set up for Qt and extract it, e.g.

Identify the full path to the MinGW installation directory containing the MinGW compiler binaries. Download the attached MATLAB function 'configuremingw'. Verify you have installed MinGW-w64 version 5.3 before following these steps. The following instructions can be used to set this environment variable manually. Mingw add to path install#
When you install MinGW from the MATLAB Add-Ons menu, MATLAB sets this variable. The cURL utility is set up and ready to use.MATLAB detects the MinGW compiler by reading the environment variable MW_MINGW64_LOC.
In the dialog that appears, add a semicolon and then paste the path to the folder where you unzipped the cURL utility files followed by 'bin', for example, C:\Users\Administrator\ Downloads\curl-7.64.0_2-win64- mingw\curl-7.64.0-win64-mingw\ bin, and click OK. In the Environment Variables dialog, under the Variable column of the System variables section, select Path and then click Edit. The Environment Variables dialog appears. In the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables. System Properties dialog appears with the Advanced tab selected. Click Edit the system environment variables. Press the Windows button on the keyboard and type Edit the system environment variables in the search box. Unzip all the files to a folder on the Windows machine. MATLAB detects the MinGW compiler by reading the environment variable MWMINGW64LOC.

A zip package is downloaded that contains all the files of the utility.
Download the curl for 64-bit or 32-bit package based on your operating system. In a browser, open the cURL utility downloads page for Windows. NOTE: Do not use (or try to avoid using) different type of toolchains for building different sub-components for the same/main project, when targeted for same platform/OS. Click on New and paste the directory path (C:\MinGW\bin) and click three times OK to exit. Click on Environment variable in popup window and click on PATH > Edit from below options. Select Properties > Advance system setting. Create a second new entry the same way, this one reading C:MinGWbin, and click OK. Either get & load MinGW, or, get & load MinGW-w64 toolchains (from their respective project website), or, use 'MinGW-w64' toolchains from MSYS2 repo, inside the MSYS2-shell. Now right click on MY-COMPUTER on desktop. Create a new entry reading C:MinCWmsys1.0bin and click OK. In the Edit Environment variables window that appears, click the New button on the right. To set up cURL on Windows, perform the following steps: In the Environment variables window, double-click the Path selection from the bottom panel.
